Sunset Desires

*This is a sponsored post.

I'm back with another Honeymoon post. This time just focusing on The Maldives. You can read Top 3 Honeymoon Locations that I wrote before, to see what I previously mentioned about The Maldives and 2 of my other top locations for Honeymoons. So let's get started.

Check out Maldives Honeymoon Packages

The Maldives is literally my dream place to go. From its private islands (over 1200 of them) to the pristine waters, luxury feel and plenty of activities. It's got it all. Today I'm going to be talking through a few specific resorts that I personally would love to visit for my currently imaginary Honeymoon.

Anantara Dhigu

First up we have the Anantara Dhigu Resort which is located in Gulhi. It is a family-friendly property so if you do have kids, this would be a great choice. It's close to the Male Airport which is 35 minutes by speed boat. Kids under 6 eat free, there is an on-site kids club and also babysitting service available, if you want to spend some time alone without the kids of course.

This resort is set across 3 islands and comes with Honeymoon style extras when you book direct. These include; Daily breakfast for two, champagne on arrival, a complimentary 60-minute spa treatment for two, daily dinner and a framed printed photo on checkout.

The resort has 110 beach villas and over water suites. There are a private pool and stunning views. I'm definitely sold on this place!

 Conrad Maldives Rangali Island

Resort Conrad is on Rangali Island which is in Mandhoo and is set over two islands with a bridge connecting the two. It has an all-glass underwater restaurant which will definitely be a wonderful experience and again has honeymoon style extras, this time it has a newlywed bed turn-down and a choice of champagne or spa treatment. There are 12 restaurants and bars so plenty of choice food wise. To get to it, it's a 30-minute seaplane ride over from Male airport.

Dusit Thani

Dusit Thani is on Mudhdoo Island in Baa Atoll and is a 2-minute walk from the beach. It is surrounded by coral reefs and a beautiful lagoon with some stunning views. If you do go here for your Honeymoon then the extras they have available for you are; chocolate and fruits in room, complimentary romantic dinner or 120-minute couples massage, 15% discount on a la carte treatments from SPA, usage of bicycles, a butler with daily buggy services and complimentary snorkelling equipment. It has one of the largest pools in The Maldives at 750m2.

They have plenty to do here including a spa, a gym, beach yoga classes and tennis courts. You can also try diving and snorkelling.

 Cocoon Maldives

Last, but certainly not least we have Cocoon Maldives which is in Ookolhufinolhu in the Lhaviyani Atoll (try pronouncing that!). This gorgeous resort has white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters with beautiful scenery. The honeymoon extras with Cocoon are; champagne with fresh fruit and flower gifts in your room and a honeymoon couples massage. There are 150 villas to pick from either beachside or over water villas. Whichever you choose will sure to be beautiful! This one is just 30 minutes from the airport by seaplane.

You can also find more Maldives honeymoons here.

So which one of these sounds like your dream place to go for your honeymoon? Let me know in the comments below and if you have already been on a Honeymoon, where did you go? While you are here why not check out some of my other travel-related posts?

Do you own a tonne of clothes that you aren't quite sure what you want to do with? You don't want to throw them away but you just don't know how else to get rid of them? Well, look no further than today's post. I'm going to be going through 4 ways to get rid of your clothes without sending them to a landfill and you might even make some money in the process!

Charity Shops

First things first. Charity Shops. There are numerous charity shops dotted around nowadays that are always looking for donations. Personally, this is the main way I get rid of my old clothes and I am actually due a clear out. I generally like to donate to local charities that are not-for-profit but ultimately it's up to you which charities you want to support. Recently I've been doing a fair bit of shopping in charity shops too, so it could almost be like a swap, you donate your old stuff and buy some from them. Supporting them twice in one go!

If you are in need of a little money from your old clothes then you can also sell bags of clothes to certain places. It might be something like £5 for a certain amount of kilograms which will then be sent on to be sold in charity shops. H&M do a similar thing to this which is worth checking out if you shop there regularly.

Clothing Swaps

This is basically where you take unwanted clothing of yours to an event and swap them for new items. There are loads of places that run these events, so it's worth searching around online to see if there is any upcoming in your local area or you could even set up your own event. You could invite family, friends and even people in your local area and get everyone to bring unwanted clothes along. You can set a few rules such as swapping 1-for-1 piece and get a whole new wardrobe in the process.

Sell Them Online

If you are in need of money and the clothes you no longer want are in great condition then you can also sell them on websites such as eBay or apps such as Depop. I have personally used both of these places in the past and would definitely recommend. Both are super easy to set up, just take photos of the clothes, enter all the details and bam, your item is ready to sell.

Other places you can sell online are Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree, Preloved, Vinted and Poshmark.

   Your Own Brand

And if you are that dedicated to selling clothing then you could start your own clothing brand. After setting up your own online store, there are a few different ways you can find stock, you could buy from wholesale brands such as J5 Fashion which basically means buying the pieces in bulk packs then listing them on your site and sending them yourself.

There is also dropshipping which is slightly similar except you list the item on your store, someone buys it and then you make the order from a dropshipping site. The third option is to design the clothes yourself and create them through a manufacturer or the last option is to create a design and upload that to somewhere like Society 6, where they create numerous items from your design to sell on to people. You will get a cut but a smaller one than starting your own line.

There is tons of information on Google about starting your own clothing business online so definitely read up before jumping into anything as is there are so many ways to do it. Starting my own clothing brand is something I have been considering for a while and will hopefully be happening soon so watch this space.

So which option is the most appealing to you? Let me know in the comments below how you sell/get rid of your clothing and also let me know if you have started your own clothing brands. While you are here why not check out some of my other fashion-related posts?
What To Wear To A Wedding
First Class Style - Graduation Outfits

*This is a sponsored post.

Have you had an invite to a wedding party but have no idea what to wear? Then look no further, as today I'll be talking through what to wear to a wedding for both women and men. First off the best thing to do is to find out if it's a themed wedding and if it is whether the dress code mentions the theme. If it does then it limits your choices, but themes can still be fun. Today I'll be talking about general wedding outfits though.

 Women

For women, the main rule is, of course, don't wear white. That's a given. If you do somehow end up wearing white then be prepared to be told to leave. I have seen this conversation pop up a lot on Twitter over whether someone would kick their friends out if they turned up wearing white. Spoiler alert, it was mostly yes they would!

Dresses are the easiest option to pick. There is a huge range of types of dresses available so chances are there will be something suitable that you like. The type of dress, again, depends on the dress code and etiquette level expected. Some may be super fancy do's and some may be more casual affairs.

For a more fancy wedding, a long evening dress is the best idea. Straps, strapless, long-sleeved - It's up to you what you are most comfortable wearing. Think details! beaded, sequins, luxe dresses are the way to go for 'black tie' weddings.

For more 'dressy casual' weddings then a cute jumpsuit could be a great idea or even a fun little dress. It is recommended to leave jeans at home. Even though it mentions casual, it may still be inappropriate to wear jeans.

The best advice I can give is to look at the setting of the wedding party. If it's a beach wedding then long, flowy, chiffon dresses are a great idea. Alternatively, if it's a garden party then a midi floral dress would be perfect. In winter you could ever pair whatever you wear with a faux fur jacket to keep you warm but you will still look fabulous.

Men

For men, the best thing to wear is definitely a suit, especially to more formal weddings. Again, if it is a more formal setting then a full suit is your best shot. This means dress pants, a blazer, a dress shirt, a tie and even a waistcoat along with whatever accessories you deem necessary. The colours are mostly up to you but darker colours are generally more for winter and lighter colours for summer.

Photo from Pexels

If it's more casual and you are not comfortable with wearing a full suit then you could wear chinos, a blazer and a button-down or something similar along those lines. There are so many ways you can mix smart and casual to create a great outfit. The options are endless.

It is always better to be overdressed than underdressed and if you go wearing the full formal suit then you can always remove items such as the waistcoat, the jacket and the tie if other guests are looking more casual.

The main thing is to wear what is most comfortable for you and if there are no stricts rules then have fun with it! Be sure to check out women dresses.

It's almost Father's Day time again, the time when you need to work out what in the world your dad wants. I'm lucky/unlucky depending on how you look at it, that my dad's Birthday is the week before Father's Day as that makes it easier for me to choose gifts for both, as everything in the shops is 'Father related'. Hopefully, this gift guide will serve you well and you find something that will be suitable. If not you can check out my Amazon Father's Day Gift Guide I did last year.

*Items marked with a * were gifted to me for the purpose of this post. All opinions are, of course, my own.

Cards

First things first: the cards! I like to find fun, original cards to give when I'm buying for anyone. I use Moonpig quite a bit but failing that I try to use various places, as I get tired of the same old in supermarkets like Tesco etc as they have the same selection every year.

First up, we have these Ladybird Books for Grown-ups from Danilo. The inside covers have some funny little extracts from the books and they are quite old school relatable subjects which may bring back great memories.
Next up, if your Father or Grandad have ever been in to Only Fools And Horses then these will be the perfect cards for them. One of them comes with a coaster on the front. It's like a little extra gift! They do many more licensed cards so it's definitely worth checking out.

If you are looking for original, hilarious 'inappropriate' cards from a Yorkshire, small, family brand then Love Layla Designs is the one for you. They have a huge range of cards that are funny, rude, daring, and inclusive cards to choose from. My favourite is definitely the "Put wood in't hole" one which is what my dad will be receiving this year.

Skincare

If your Father is a beardy man then BRISK Grooming Skincare is a great idea for him! With various types of products ranging from Moisturiser to Beard Balm, there will be a product for him. BRISK is available to buy from Morrisons, Boots & Waitrose.

Another type of skincare you could go for is the Black Leopard. They are an Australian brand that has recently launched in the UK and I have actually mentioned them before in my Valentine's Day Gift Guide this year. If you want to know more about them then definitely check it out.

Food & Drink

Alcohol is always a good shout when it comes to a gift, but if your dad happens to be cutting down on drinking, or just wants to try something a bit different then why not get him some Alcohol-free IPA from Brutal Brewing?  It has 0% alcohol but still happens to have a great classic beer taste.

Want something that is fun and completely different? These super cool biscuit tins from Biscuiteers may be the right gift for you. They have some awesome options from the BBQ Dad to the Garden Lover Dad and even the Car Lover Dad. And if you don't want a full tin, there are separate options available.

 Personalised Gifts

I've been loving personalised gifts recently. I love including them on these gift guides, as well as buying them for family & friends and matching the gifts to their personality. My dad, for example, is a beer drinker so this beer tankard will be perfect for him. I kept it pretty simple and put Happy Father's Day DAD, Enjoy Your Beer! Lots of Love, Lucy & Sam. This was from thepersonalisedgiftshop.co.uk and comes with a gorgeous display box. Their options for personalising your gifts are very easy to follow and they have a huge range available.

Not only is my dad a beer drinker, but he is also a big coffee drinker so a mug is always a good idea. This mug is another personalised gift from The Personalised Gift Shop and is a photo mug. You can choose 2 photos, one for the front and one for the back. I chose a photo of me and my Dad and one of my Brother and my Dad. You can also personalise the text on each one. I just chose a simple Dad for each side.

How cool is this wrapping paper from Pretty Gifted? You can totally personalise this how you want. You can choose a paper colour, font, text foil colour, any message up to 60 characters plus you can choose the font size and an icon to have between each line. I went for the classic Happy Father's Day text and played with some various other options.  It shows a preview of your chosen things so that you can easily see what it looks like and if you are stuck for cool pairings you can check out the inspiration page. Each order also comes with free delivery, luxury gift tags & a gel pen.

 Other Gifts

This bottle from Root7 is the perfect thing to carry around with you throughout the day. Whether you want to up your water intake or take your coffee on the go, this bottle has got you. Keeps drinks cold for 30 hours and hot for 20. Plus it's in this really awesome polished steel colour variety (they do have more options if you are looking for something more colourful).

Last but certainly not least is the official England cricket book. This is a must-have for any England Cricket fan out there. With player profiles, world cup history, team analysis, and more it's the perfect way to get up-to-date on all things England Cricket related before the Cricket World Cup which is hosted in England this year.

 Custom Bobbleheads

Also considered as personalized gifts, only that they are considered of higher tier due to the level of customization, cost, and the idea behind it. Getting a custom bobblehead means you are asking a manufacturer to create a mini statue that looks like your dad. And if you think that it's impossible without a stratospheric price tag — well, times have changed. You can now ask the best custom bobblehead company to model a toy based on your dad's figures (face), and add the head to a body which is also customizable. You can have your dad's face on a superhero body or a soldier or an angel, the list goes on... All for an affordable price.

So, what are you buying your dad for Father's Day this year? Anything on my list inspired you? Let me know in the comments below. While you are here why not also check out some of my other lifestyle-related posts?
