First Class Style - Graduation Outfits (AD)

How many of you have a graduation coming up very soon? Well, you are in luck as today's post is all about graduation dresses. I will be showing you a selection of dresses that I received from PrettyLittleThing, and will be telling you what I think about them.

PrettyLittleThing has a huge selection of items available in their graduation collection and I picked my 6 favourite dresses out. So let's get straight into it.
First up we have this gorgeous black velvet dress. It is floor length and has a long slit up the slide. All the way up in fact, so if you aren't as confident you could wear some safety shorts underneath like I generally do with most skirts and dresses. It has a low cut and is strapless, this stays held up by the boning in the top half. This gave me a great shape and I felt all sucked in but I personally would add straps to this as I don't generally feel comfortable in strapless dresses, it's probably just my lack of boobs meaning there is nothing to hold anything up. I would pair this with a nice pair of black strappy heels and a statement silver necklace to finish the look.
Next up, we have this beautiful yellow lace dress. The colour is so striking and really stands out. I love the shape of this dress and it hugs me perfectly. I believe the sleeves are meant to be off-the-shoulder but, again, because of my lack of chest the front part kept falling down when I had the sleeves off-shoulder. I combatted this by putting the sleeves on my shoulder so everything stayed in place and I think it definitely still looks good this way, better in my opinion. This dress is a little bit sheer so stay away from black underwear (nude underwear works perfectly) other than that I love it. This yellow dress could also be paired with a statement necklace, maybe in gold to make the outfit really pop.
For my third piece, I have this stunning floral ruffle dress. It's in a lovely shade of dusty pink and has roses printed on it. I'm in love with this one. I'd say looks wise this is probably my favourite. I love the big statement shoulder ruffle details and it also has a belt to bring in your waist. This can be removed but I chose to keep it tied at the back like it came. I think for this dress I could have sized up as it was just the slightest bit too tight but overall I felt very classy and sophisticated wearing it. A pair of dusty pink strappy heels would work well paired with this one.
This next dress is definitely the shortest of the bunch and is in the form of this blue satin piece. I love the sleeve and chest details on this one as they seem to be what is on trend right now if Instagram is anything to do by. I do feel again this dress was made for bustier ladies or straight sized in mind as the bottom half hugged me perfectly but there was a lot of extra space in the chest area. I do feel it did cling a little bit too much for my liking on my stomach, but overall I still really liked it. I think this one would look good with a little silver choker to finish the look.
The fifth dress is definitely my favourite in terms of how comfortable I feel in it. It is this green floral wrap style dress that is a shorter piece. The neckline plunges down in a slightly ruched style and is a really pretty detail, but personally, I would wear a bralette or vest underneath for my own comfort level. The waist area is looser than the previous dresses but I would potentially wear a belt with it to bring it in more. I think I might even wear this dress to an evening meal I have planned this week.
Last but certainly not least, we have this lovely lilac satin dress. This one is similar to the blue dress in that it hugs just slightly too tightly on my stomach so I should probably size up on this one. Also if you look, the entire skirt area is see-through on those lines which means you can see my underwear. When I come to wear this dress I will definitely put on a little nude slip underneath to avoid any underwear embarrassments. Again it's off-the-shoulder but I felt a lot more secure in this one as it didn't feel like it was slipping down at all. I would probably again pair this with a silver choker necklace and a silver pair of strappy heels.

So, which of these 6 dresses were your favourite? Let me know in the comments below, also let me know if you have a graduation coming up and what you will be wearing and while you are here why not check out some of my other fashion-related posts?
