AD – Guest post. The main trend in the spring-summer season is without a shadow of a doubt represented by floral-patterned fabrics. There are numerous motifs that every year colour the catwalks and the roads of our cities. It is not just the designs that have pride in place. Floral fabrics are cut and sewn in different silhouettes depending on the seasonal fashion. This year was no different, far from it. After a difficult winter, fashion houses gave a further lease of life to this trend which seems to have no end.

WHEN MOVIES SET THE RULES IN THE WORLD OF FASHION

After the success of the series Bridgerton, floral fabrics for imperial-style clothes have come back stronger than ever.

It was some time ago that vintage fashion returned to catwalks with the most striking example: the comeback of the corset. The corset perfectly combines convenience and a sense of chic. With the series Bridgerton and the bright floral fabrics which the women in the Featherington and Bridgerton families show off both in their homes and outside, the cottage-core style has spread everywhere.

Floral-patterned fabrics take shape in clothes with tight, high-waisted corsets and broad and soft mini and maxi skirts. This year’s clothes are therefore relatively simple in their general form. The interesting part which catches the eye is the shoulder sleeves. Short or long, what is important is that they are ruffled, puffed… in short, striking.

Another very fashionable form to use these fabrics for womenswear is the wrap dress. Light, classic and versatile, it can be found in all lengths, from mini to maxi. As for sheath dresses, instead, besides their eternal traditional form, frills and ruffles are added to provide extra volume.

TROUSERS AND SUITS

Talking of trousers and suits, in this case too, chic meets convenience. We’ve had a year spent putting on comfy trousers. This spring floral-patterned fabric can be found on models with wide legs and a high waist. This is ideal for those days when you don’t want to show off your legs.

Shirts and tops follow two trends, like the other clothes. This year’s blouses are soft, easy-fitting and elegant. They have fine necklines and bows to be tied at the waist. The blouses could also be deliberately more structured with puffed sleeves and square or heart-shaped necklines. But they must always be coloured and with floral fabrics.

AS LONG AS IT’S FLOWERS

Whatever our style, this year we’ll have a vast choice of shapes combined with our favourite floral prints. It will be enough to go into shops and online to look for the model which is best for us. The important thing is that it is coloured. Another thing is that it brings a sense of happiness while we wear it and has a floral fabric.
