This is a contributed post. While there are hundreds of exciting bachelorette party destinations to choose from, London is undoubtedly one of the best. After all, it’s a city that is simply buzzing with excitement and adventure, and not to mention, plenty of bars, too! It is a great way to set the tone for a very special wedding, without putting the bride through the stress of event planning!

However, with so many options to choose from, putting together the perfect bachelorette weekend itinerary can be difficult. That’s where this guide comes in!

Use Price Comparison Sites When Booking

Whether you’re booking flights or looking for a place to stay, using price comparison sites, such as Booking.com or SkyScanner, can help ensure that you’re sticking to your budget. Remember, the more money you can save in this regard, the more you’ll have to spend on cocktails.

In some cases, you may find that you’re able to get the best deal by booking directly with the hotel as opposed to using a third-party site. Either way, do your research ahead of time.

Download CityMapper on Your Phone

Navigating your way through an unfamiliar city can be difficult, however, CityMapper makes this as easy as possible for visitors to London. This is because it can help you figure out the quickest route from A to B, while also letting you know how much you can expect to spend on the journey.

If you’re going to rely on public transport for the entire weekend, you might want to consider purchasing a travelcard that covers everything from bus journeys to trains. However, you can also tap in and out using your bank card or phone—the choice is yours.

Plan Daytime Activities, Too

While you may be getting ready to party the night away, there are plenty of fun things to do during the day in England’s capital city. For example, historical romance lovers can spend the day in Greenwich, which has been the backdrop to a range of romantic movies and series, including the ever-popular Bridgerton.

If sightseeing is on the agenda, there are also plenty of fun tours that you can participate in (as opposed to simply walking around aimlessly). For example, you could hop on London’s famous Bar Bus, visiting famous locations throughout the city with a drink in hand!

There are also plenty of companies that offer fun classes for bachelorette parties, such as baking, cocktail making, or something a little more crafty. For example, if you wanted to take home the perfect souvenir after the trip, you could participate in a paint-and-sip class.

Take Plenty of Photographs

London is a great place to take photos, especially if you’re visiting famous locations or rooftop bars with panoramic views of the city. Furthermore, the more pictures you take, the more memories you’ll have to look back on in the future. Some of the best places to snap pictures during your bachelorette weekend in the big smoke include:

  • The Sky Gardens
  • One New Change
  • Waterloo Bridge
  • St. James Park
  • Leadenhall Market

If all of the guests are taking their own photographs, use apps such as Guest Reel to compile them all in one place once you’re home. This way, you can easily scroll through the shared folder(s) to find the best pics for the gram.

Make Reservations Using Discount Apps

Numerous mobile apps allow you to make reservations at some of London’s best restaurants while also saving money. This is because you can then access exclusive discounts, reducing your total spend considerably. Apps to try out include:

  • First Table. 50% off food at a participating restaurant for early or late dining.
  • The Fork. A range of discounts is offered at participating restaurants regardless of the time.

However, some of the best places to eat in London are not sit-down restaurants, but rather one of the city’s many markets, such as Borough Market or Spitalfields Market. Be sure to stop by these places for a quick bite to eat during the day. However, it is worth noting that they can get quite busy during the Weekends.

Go For a Bottomless Brunch

If there’s ever a suitable occasion for a bottomless brunch, it’s a bachelorette party. Fortunately, you have hundreds of options to choose from in London, whether you’re looking for something classy or a little more adventurous. For example, there are plenty of themed brunches to choose from, or those that are paired with some kind of live entertainment, such as a drag show.

Visit a Themed Cocktail Bar

London is also home to a wide range of cocktail bars. As such, they are the perfect place to start (or end) your night, depending on the kind of vibe that you are looking for. For example, if you’re looking for unique cocktails you cannot find anywhere else, check out Mr Foggs Society of Exploration in Covent Garden. Alternatively, you could visit one of London’s many hidden or secret cocktail bars. Many of these bars will also have a mocktail menu for those who do not enjoy drinking, but don’t want to miss out on the experience.

Booking ahead of time is often recommended, especially if you are part of a larger group. This can avoid disappointment at the door, as they can often get busy.

Experience London’s Vibrant Entertainment Scene

London is known for its theatres and live performances, which can again help to take any bachelorette party to the next level. For example, ABBA lovers will simply love Mamma Mia! The Party, an immersive dining and theatrical experience. Alternatively, you could book tickets to a West End musical or play. While booking in advance is recommended, you may find that you can get a great deal on the day as theatres often do not want to leave seats empty if they can avoid it.

Final Thoughts

From world-class entertainment venues to some of the best cocktails around, there are many reasons why so many bridal parties head to London to celebrate their beloved bride. Following the advice above will help you put together the perfect itinerary ahead of the big weekend itself, meaning that you can focus on relaxing and having fun.
