AD. With jewellery being an important part of any outfit, it is no wonder that jewellery trends are always changing. Today I’m going to be talking you through 6 jewellery trends that you need to try right now. You know how much I love trying new styles of jewellery so I’m definitely going to be rocking all of these trends if I haven’t already.
Birthstone Earrings
According to ancient Egyptian mythology, when the gods created humans they placed 12 unique stones at their feet that would represent them all. The Egyptians believed that these stones could also be utilized as protectors for children because they were thought to provide protection from danger and illness. This is where birthstones come from, one to represent each month of the year. Nowadays they are mostly worn in the form of jewellery, whether that be necklaces, rings, bracelets or earrings.
The ones I’m talking about in this post are birthstone earrings. Whether you want to go statement or simple and dainty, there is a pair of birthstone earrings for everyone. They are a lovely choice to wear as it creates a more personalised look which is something I love. The ones shown above are from Aurate and as you can see they are tiny, dainty, studded pieces. They might be mini but they have major meaning! I was born in August so my birthstone is peridot which is a gorgeous shade of green. To find out your birthstone check out the chart below.

Stacking Necklaces
Secondly, we have stacking necklaces. Somewhat of a classic in the jewellery world, stacking necklaces bring a whole new layer to your outfit, literally! Whether you want to pair all statements, all dainty or a mixture of the two, you are sure to create a gorgeous stacked look that matches your personal style.
Ottoman Hands are a great example of a brand that sell the perfect pieces to create a stacked look. They sell each piece separately but almost every piece can be paired together perfectly. Animal Jewellery
Next up, we have a relatively new trend to my collection and that’s animal jewellery. Animal jewellery is a type of jewellery that is made in the form of animals. This includes animal charms, pendants, bracelets, earrings, rings and other accessories. Animal jewellery has been popular since Roman times when people started wearing animal pendants or charms on their clothes. The Greeks also started making animal jewellery like rings with horns on them to symbolize hunting prowess.
This is where Jana Reinhardt comes in. Ran by Jana and her husband, Jana Reinhardt is a jewellery brand that specialises in animal pieces. All their jewellery is made from recycled gold and silver, this is so they can be as sustainable and green as possible. They also have an animal welfare collection where every time a piece is purchased from the collection they donate £20 to different animal welfare and environmental charities. A gorgeous animal piece and a good cause? Win, win.

Rainbow Jewellery
For the fourth jewellery trend you need to try, we have rainbow jewellery. Now, I have loved anything designed with rainbows and multicoloured pieces for as long as I can remember, so I’m always keeping an eye out for rainbow jewellery. As you can see these pieces from Ruby & Oscar are a rainbow lovers heaven! Both the ring and the necklace shown feature seven coloured stones which result in these stunning, stand-out pieces. Pair them together and you have a perfect look. Different coloured stones feature in a lot of Ruby & Oscar pieces so you are able to mix and match your own personalised colour look by stacking pieces together.

Signet Rings
Signet rings are fast becoming one of my favourite jewellery trends. Signet rings are traditionally worn on the little finger of the left hand. The tradition of wearing signet rings goes back to ancient Egypt where they were used for sealing or imprinting clay tablets with signatures. Nowadays, they are worn on any finger to make a fashion statement and these ones from Daisy Jewellery definitely do not disappoint.
Launched in 2009, Daisy Jewellery fuse a bohemian state of mind with wearable, contemporary jewellery design. Their original collection called Daisy was a collection inspired by wildflowers and you can definitely see that when you look at their latest collections. I own a couple of their signet rings now (including the daisy bloom one seen in the first picture) and they are some of my favourite pieces to wear. I always get compliments on them so it’s definitely a trend you should consider if you haven’t already.

Padlock Jewellery
Last but certainly not least, we have padlock jewellery. Padlock jewellery is another trend that I really love, especially when it comes to necklaces. Not only do they come in a variety of different styles (some plain padlocks, some with mini keys, etc) but they make for such stand-out pieces. The ones I am featuring today are from the Amager Collection on Trendhim. While their website features accessories and jewellery made for men, I believe anyone can wear their jewellery pieces. Their attempt on padlock jewellery is these super chunky, statement pieces that come in gold-tone, silver-tone and gunmetal. Definitely, a statement worth making.
