If it’s big enough and has foldable seats, even the boot of a hatch can be enough for a couple. However, sleeping pads and car mattresses are essential. You may also need some extras for safety and comfort, including a fan in the summer and a heater in winter, as well as privacy window covers.
Cooking and Food Preparation
One of the highlights of camping is cooking. There’s something primal but exciting about cooking in the great outdoors, whether it’s a crisp autumn morning or a hot summer’s night under the stars. At the very least, you will need a camping stove, which will make it much easier to cook meals. However, don’t forget a kitchen kit with plates, cutlery and things like tongs. It is always shocking how much safety is overlooked when on the road. Not only personal safety, but safety for others, too. And don’t forget jumper cables for the car!
